About Houndsson

HOUNDSSON is a Swedish company based in the beautiful city of Helsingborg.

Our name is the combination of hound, the type of hunting dog used by hunters to track or hunt and the typical end of many last names in Sweden SON which means “son of -” (e.g. KARLSSON = ‘son of Karl’).

Everything started with a promise. All the best for our loved Vizsla Frida. She always tries to do her best for us, gives so much love and fun to our life and therefore we are obliged to do everything we can to make her feel good.

We love it cuddly, cozy and warm in Sweden. Our Danish neighbors call this feeling Hygge.

So does our Vizsla Frida.

Like many sporting & hunting dogs, Vizsla’s have a high energy level and like to be busy, which keeps their body fat very low. They also lack an undercoat, which is a thin layer of hair that would keep them warmer in the cold weather. That means Frida is freezing and needs an extra layer of protection when the temperatures drops down to stay warm.

Our focus is always on functionality, highest quality, durability  and design.

But the last decision is made by Frida. No product will be placed in the shop without a test from our most important employee.
